Minister of State for Environment and Energy, Mr. Abdullahi Majeed addressed “WHO Second Global Conference on Health and Climate Change” regarding climate change. In his speech, he highlighted that due to global warming the intensity and frequency of storms have been increasing and it has been a threat to all humans and their properties. He also said that under the “Paris Agreement” which is ratified by many countries, potential people, technology and finance is needed to reduce the impacts of climate change especially to low laying countries.
The conference was held from 08 July 2016-09 July 2016. This ministerial conference was organized by World Health Organization (WHO).
